SURGICAL DISEASES, TRAUMATOLOGY, ORTHOPEDICS, UROLOGY : CRYPTORCHIDISM (CRYPTORCHISMUS) - etiology, pathogenesis, symptoms and course of, recognition, prediction and prevention
The etiology and pathogenesis are not yet known. In the study cryptorchidism testicles in them can be found in greater or lesser extent of the phenomenon of underdevelopment of the epithelium of the seminiferous tubules, increasing the number of connective tissue. When cryptorchidism spermatogenesis is usually reduced, but the endocrine function of the testes is saved.
The delay of the testis may be bilateral or unilateral (monergism). The most frequent cases of delay of the testis in the abdomen near the internal opening of the inguinal canal. These forms of cryptorchidism proceed normally without pain. They are dangerous diseases of the testis and epididymis, located in the abdominal cavity. The delay of the testis in the region of the inguinal canal, due to compression and limiting it causes pain when walking.
Recognition is fairly easy: changing the shape of the scrotum, the absence of the testis, palpation of the testis in the inguinal canal. In the absence of the testis in the inguinal canal or other place should be suspected intraperitoneal position.
Testicles hanging up in the abdominal cavity, the treatment does not require. To operate - it is only in inflammatory processes or suspected malignancy. When the delay of the testis in the inguinal canal, which required surgical intervention due to infringement of the testis and caused due to this pain, and also due to concomitant disease hernia.
